Our Journey
Welcome to Fobia Games, the birthplace of the fantasy card game, Destiny's Divide. Our journey began in 2010 when we established our parent company, Fobia d.o.o., while unrelated to gaming, it is still serving as complete funding for Fobia Games and Destiny's Divide. The idea of Destiny's Divide started taking form in about 2018, where the basic game mechanics were being established and tested in the game's physical form.
Founded by brothers David and Armando Legin, Fobia Games has since grown into a small but passionate team of game developers and artists who share a common love for creating card games.
Our Inspiration
Our founder, David Legin, has always been enthralled by the fantasy realms brought to life in other popular card games like Magic: the Gathering, Hearthstone, and Legends of Runeterra. Despite the greatness of each of these games he felt that there was more to be had in the card game genre.
Destiny’s Divide is David's endeavor to fill this void, focusing on beautiful visual effects, great mechanics and a soft spot for the hardcore gamer.
The Birth of Destiny's Divide
The quest for Destiny's Divide began in 2018 when David set out to design a game that could bring a fresh perspective to the fantasy card game genre. After years of meticulous planning and countless play-testing sessions with proxied cards alongside fellow card enthusiasts, the core mechanics of Destiny's Divide were honed to offer a unique yet intuitive gaming experience.
Initially envisioned to grace both physical and digital platforms, the unfolding of the global Covid-19 pandemic nudged our focus towards developing a digital version. Over the past years, our team has been tirelessly refining the game, from perfecting the gameplay mechanics to embellishing the digital realm with amazing illustrations.
Now, with a playable Early Access version in hand, we are inching closer to our goal. There is some fine-tuning left and some bugs to squash, but the base game and experience is now complete.
